It’s the start of another busy week at Elegant Media and Irshika Palanage, a software engineering graduate and intern at Elegant Media is excited for the week ahead. Irshika has been working on a big live project within the laundry industry and the app’s release on major app stores is just around the corner.
“Being assigned to real projects and the opportunity to collaborate directly with clients and the development team has been incredibly rewarding,” says Irshika who joined the Elegant Media Internship Programme as part of the 2025 Q2 Cohort. When interns work on live client projects in app development they’re not just learning code – they’re learning how to balance user needs, technical constraints and business objectives.

Originally from Malaysia, Ethan Bin is an intern within the Elegant Media Accounts Department and very much enjoys his work with us. “I really enjoy gaining real-life experience—especially learning how accounting works in the context of a software company. It’s been a great opportunity to apply what I studied in a practical environment and get hands-on exposure to real business operations,” adds Ethan, who is a Banking and Finance graduate from Monash University in Australia and loves visiting the Royal Botanic Gardens in his spare time.
