The Star Shopper App brings comic books to life by using Augmented Reality technology, making learning much more interactive and engaging.

A number of things make this App a special one for Elegant Media.

• In this project, we partnered with the multinational giant Ernst & Young and the ASB Bank New Zealand(Commonwealth Bank).
• We built an App exclusively for its Augmented Reality capabilities, a technology which is bound to become ubiquitous in the near future.
• Star Shopper is an educational App built to teach kids the skills to manage money as part of ASB’s GetWise financial literacy schools programme for New Zealand students.

How Elegant Media’s award-winning team developed The Star Shopper App
From more than a decade, ASB’s Get Wise has been running programmes designed to inspire primary and intermediate aged students in New Zealand to be confident with money. When GetWise teamed up with Ernst & Young and approached Elegant Media with an idea to digitise their learning experience, we were excited to take on the challenge.

Our App development team used their expertise in UI/UX design, App flow design and advanced coding to develop an educational App for kids. Our teams’ primary goal was to develop an App that feels intuitive and fun, a lot like a comic book does.

The use of Augmented Reality was critical in the success of this App; hence our team ensured that we deliver a flawless AR experience using the lastest App building technology.
